Weekend Sales Assistant
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic person to join our team as a Weekend Sales Assistant. The ideal candidate will be sociable, personable and organised with great communication skills. Perhaps studying or with your own creative practice, hoping for engaging work in a retail environment.
At Straw London we aim to create a calm & welcoming environment that allows our customers to feel relaxed and at home. We are looking for a candidate who is confident with customers and who helps us represent Straw London appropriately.
We will train you to be knowledgable about the brand, the products we sell and how we wrap and present products to the customer but an interest and passion for homeware, interiors & customer service is essential.
The Role:
To welcome and engage customers upon entering the store
To be confident in maintaining the Visual Merchandising as set out by the wider team
To ensure that customers receive calm, considerate and timely customer service
To help customers find products in store
To be happy to answer questions about the brand and products we sell
To be comfortable giving advice about which products to buy
To record customer feedback & share with the team
To be competent using an iPad & Zettle to take payments - training provided
To make note of low stock items & share with the team
To uphold the Straw London brand image to the highest standard
To clean, dust and re-stock as needed
To perform key-holder responsibilities - opening and closing the shop as required
To remove the six wooden shutters and window security at the start of the day and putting them back up at the end of the day - requires some physical strength
To maintain that each product sold is wrapped and presented to the customer in a presentable manor which adheres to training
To manage day to day operations in store when working alone
To pack online orders where necessary
Hours:
A range of Saturdays (10am-5pm) and Sundays (9am-4pm) throughout the month (minimum hours to be negoiated)
Additional hours may be available at other times
